It is with great sadness that we advise the passing of Mr Robert Scott on 22/12/11 after a long battle with Cancer.

Robert was involved with Sylvania rugby from 1974 to 1983 where he held the position of Club President from 1980 to 1983 . Robert was awarded life membership of Sylvania rugby in 1983 and holds the No.6 life members badge. Robert was an avid fan of Sylvania rugby, Southern Districts, Waratahs and the Wallabies which he watched whenever possible.

Robert is survived by his wife Lynne, children Jenny, Jodie, David & Peter and their partners plus nine grandchildren.

Our club makes most of it's money through our canteen. We encourage all club members and visitors to make a day of it when playing at AR Hurst by purchasing food and drinks.

Little Bulldogs like our undefeated U6's Henning, McCauley, Luke and Tom (pictured above) can sometimes become great players.

Just like Sam and Apo Latunipulu below, who are currently playing first grade for Southern Districts.

Congratulations to Apo who after captaining Newington First XV to a GPS win in 2010, has been contracted with the Junior Waratahs and has been selected to represent Australia at the U20 World Championships next month!!
